Caring For Your Mental Health This Spring // Cómo cuidar tu salud mental esta primavera

With the beginning of the spring season, we welcome the warmth of the sun, the blooming of the flowers, and new aspirations or goals. Why not also include prioritizing your mental health? Making time to care for yourself can be hard because we get caught up in work, school, or other responsibilities. But caring for yourself is essential to prevent burnout and to enjoy the spring season. While therapy helps a lot, taking care of your mental health outside of a therapy session is also important and does not have to be hard or stressful.

“Control Your Face!” And Other Things I Was “Taught.” // “¡Controla tu cara!” Y otras cosas que me "enseñaron".

I have two very vivid memories from graduate school that often come up when I’m struggling with parts of my job as a therapist. Problems can come up when there is a misalignment or imbalance on these two scales and an adjustment may be needed.

So, it turns out I have ADHD! // ¡Resulta que tengo TDAH!

If you want to get specific, I received the ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) Combined Type diagnosis early this year. ADHD is divided into two categories: inattention and hyperactivity-impulsivity, and I get the privilege to experience both.
